Nail Art : What I've Learned So Far

Well so far in my journey to learn nail art, the biggest thing I have realized is that you have got to be patient. This is the first set of nails I did. It is very simple, yet fun and simplistic. I love the way dots look.

I have discovered you can do a lot of different designs with your dotting tools.
See for me, I am an 'artist' of sorts. I love to paint, sculpt, and being crafty. So when I decided to take up nail art, I thought that it was going to be the same.

Well it is but it isnt. Painting your nails in its simplest form is just picking out the polish you want to wear and painting it on. But when you want that extra pop, well that is something different. I never knew there were so many different tools to the trade. I am slowly collecting them myself thanks to eBay and other similar sites. Im also not buying the highest quality products either. Because i'm just starting out, I feel a $2.00 set of brushes will work just as well as a $30 set.

The other thing that I am doing is just getting any and all nail polishes that I can, when I can. Currently my collection of polishes looks like a teenage girls straight out of the 80's. I am using a brand of polishes that in the 80's was top dog L.A. Color's.

By today's standards their line of polishes are not that great. But being an 80's kid and on a budget, I like them and think they are good for now. I cant justify spending $8.00+ on a bottle of nail polish, but as I become more "professional" or get deals/work partnerships out with companies so i get them sent to me for review or at like 90% off, I am going to use what I can get.
As you probably know from following my Instagram account that I have had my share of nail mistakes, but I am trying and every week I do a new design on my nails and wear them typically Sunday to Sunday. Unless they start chipping and cracking then I'll change them midweek.

I am thankful for whoever is happening to read this and follow along on my social media, I really do appreciate it and am looking forward to connecting with you. I haven't gained enough confidence in my ability to do up a YouTube tutorial, but I do make videos on YouTube, debuting my designs, and my tips and trick I've learned.

But I am making my journey down the road, and having fun doing so. I love all the attention I get from women who look at my nails and ask who did them and when I say that I've done them myself, the looks I get are priceless and I like the whole "fuck you dude, im a chick and I cant even do that" I just smile and say "well its not that hard, just time consuming." Now when my designs get more on point and are more fancy then yeah Ill get a bit more "cocky" but for now I am just happy and having fun.

Do you have any questions, comments, or concerns? How about a tip or trick you wanna pass along? I welcome any and all help.
