What does this guy look for in a nail polish?

So since I started wearing polish, I have noticed that I like more subtle mute colors, or metalic colors. I love playing with blues, golds, blacks, whites, and other shades to see how far I can push the boundaries of my own nails without it looking to fem.

Now I will admit there are times where I say fuck it and just do my nails up "pretty". But most times its just a subtle nod to the fact that "yes my nails are paints....and?" If you follow my Instagram then you have seen the wacky designs that I do myself. I have done bright red with black tips. Black with red tips. I have done Ladybugs. I have adorned them with little polymer clay daisies (of which I will never do again), and even done glitter.

Every week I unvale my nail style for the following week. Sometimes I will carry it over, but for the most part I tend to change them weekly. I have had many people both men and women compliment me and even asked if I do them myself. I have yet to have them done professionally, and scared to go down that road as I know it would be expensive.

I buy all my supplies from either Sally Beauty, Born Pretty, or Ebay. I also have yet to try stamping them. I have several plates and a machine that does them but I havent figured out how to use them, and none of my polish is really thick.

So what do you as a guy look for in nail polish? Doesn't matter if you are looking at a womans hand or a mans, there is nothing "homo" about this question. Just a general sense of what you find appealing.
